Is Google Transcribe free?

Google Live Transcribe is free on supported Android devices and is mainly designed for live captions and accessibility. Google Recorder can transcribe recordings on supported Pixel phones, with features depending on device, language, and app version.

Those consumer features can be useful for conversations, notes, and simple recordings. Google Cloud Speech-to-Text is different: it is a developer service for apps, workflows, and large-scale transcription, and it is normally billed by usage after any applicable free allowance or trial.
